Easy setup, works well

I bought WooCommerce Payments. Setup was quick and it integrated perfectly with my existing store. Transactions process without issues. Happy with the performance.

Good but some minor snags

I recently purchased the Subscriptions extension for my site. The core functionality is robust and it's definitely saving me a lot of manual work for recurring payments. The setup process was mostly straightforward, though I did run into a small compatibility issue with another plugin I had, which took a bit of digging in their knowledge base to resolve. It wasn't a showstopper, but it added some unexpected time to the deployment. Customer support was helpful once I reached out, but it took a day to get a response. Overall, the value for money is good, and it's a solid extension, just be prepared for potential small hiccups if you have a complex setup.

Good for my little shop

I grabbed the WooCommerce core plugin and the Storefront Theme for my new online store. Setting it up wasn't too bad, even for me who's not super techy. I watched a few tutorials and got it looking pretty decent. The theme is clean and works well on phones, which was important to me. It took about a week to get everything sorted out but I'm happy with how it's running now. My first few sales came in smoothly.

Hey, thinking about getting that Subscriptions extension. Do they do any sales often or should I just buy it now?

I Ivy 2 months ago
Yeah, they usually have sales around big holidays like Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Saw it for 25% off last November.

I think I got mine during a summer sale, but it wasn't as big as the winter ones. Maybe wait a bit if you're not in a rush.

Trying to apply a coupon code for a couple of extensions but it only seems to take one. Can you use multiple discount codes at once?

C Cody 1 month ago
Nah, usually only one coupon per order on their site. Most places are like that.

I've never been able to stack coupons there. You usually have to pick the best one for your purchase.

Is WooCommerce Payments any good compared to, say, Stripe directly? What's the main difference?

C Cleo 1 month ago
WooCommerce Payments basically integrates everything right into your dashboard, which is super convenient. Stripe is fine, but you gotta manage it separately.

I've used both. WC Payments is nice for simplicity, less jumping between apps. Stripe might offer a few more niche features, but for most stores, WC Payments is solid.

Does anyone know if the Black Friday sales are for everything or just specific extensions? Looking at Product Bundles.

C Chris Hughes 1 month ago
From what I remember, they usually have pretty wide sales around Black Friday, covering most popular extensions. Product Bundles is a big one so it'll probably be included.

They tend to go big for Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I'd be surprised if Bundles wasn't on sale then, usually 20-40% off for a lot of stuff.

Heard about WooExpress, is that like a completely separate thing from regular WooCommerce or just a fancier version?

C Cody Z. 2 months ago
It's basically WooCommerce but hosted and managed by WordPress.com. Less setup hassle for you, they handle more of the technical stuff.

Think of it as an easier, more streamlined way to get a WooCommerce store without having to worry as much about hosting and server config. Regular WC is more self-hosted.
